What’s funny about sex? Nothing much while you’re experiencing it. However, when seen from the outside by a non-participant, it can sometimes seem hilarious. As we look back over the sexual encounters of our youth, we might find many incidents to laugh about, but we are also liable to find some things that sadden or perplex us. Pre-adolescent sexual abuse, as we are now learning, is and has been far more prevalent than we once believed, and it can often be devastating to those who experience it, sometimes setting the stage for a life of promiscuity. This is especially true for children who are particularly cute, an attribute that can be both advantageous and detrimental when it comes to maturing into a sexually well adjusted adult.

It is this sticky subject that I attempt to explore here in a lighthearted manner, though I want to caution readers never to take the subject itself lightly. Those with a heightened sensitivity to such things should be forewarned that some of what they are about to read will be disturbing, since the story deals with hard subjects like familial sexual abuse, homosexuality and pedophilia, all of which are described in fairly graphic detail.

Finally, I want to reiterate that this is a work of fiction and that none of the characters are real. If you recognize yourself or someone you know, it is only because certain experiences may be fairly common and you or your acquaintance may have experienced similar things.
