All-Inclusive Pricing
Most Web design companies have very complex multi-faceted pricing structures that tend to be very confusing and not very helpful when a client is trying to compare or understand costs and make decisions concerning what exactly they want and can afford on their website. For example, most charge extra for things like logo design (or alteration of an existing design for Web purposes); for inclusion of graphics and photographs; for creation of new graphics to compliment page text; for simple visual effects (roll-over buttons, multi-tiered navigation bars, etc.); for e-commerce capabilities and infrastructure; and many other things. Though we sometimes get caught shortchanging ourselves, we feel this pricing method is too complex and that it opens the door for a kind of "bait-and-switch" sales scenario, which we find distasteful.

For example, the initial promo for a Web design company may say something like, "Complete 10-page Website for $500," but then when you get to the details, you find that your $500 contract does not include graphics (except on the home page); or does not include scanning, manipulation and insertion of photos; or that they charge extra for setting up a shopping cart for e-commerce, designing your logo; etc. etc. Some even put an hourly limit on the site construction, charging you extra for every hour the design takes over a limited number of hours included in the initial fee. Other "extras" most often include providing Web hosting for the site; consultation and training; and other services. We have decided to do it differently.

With the exception of sites that require animation and / or Flash movies (which are extremely time consuming and expensive) our "basic" service includes just about everything. The only difference comes in the number of pages required for each individual site and/or the number of products to be listed on an e-commerce site. Our package prices include provisions for additional per-page/product charge if you go over the number of pages/products included in each package. These aspects aside, here are the things we include in all our prices:

We Will…
1) Conceive, design and build the complete website, including appropriate graphics, text, links, comprehensive navigation tools, page titling, keywords and special visual effects (other than true animations or Flash elements)
2) Design from scratch, or alter an existing company logo for Web compatibility
3) Provide 250 Megabytes of Web space (hosting) for the site for one year
4) Set up a shopping cart service (if needed) at no charge for an initial 90 day period
5) Include one Form-Response page for mailing list registration or simple surveys
6) Help you decide on a domain name and register it for two years
7) Set up an e-mail account for your domain, with up to 25 e-mail addresses
8) Help get you set up to accept online credit card charges
9) Help get you set up to accept PayPal and, if you chose, online check acceptance
10) Promote the website with available non-fee-based methodologies
11) Provide basic site maintenance for a period of 90-days (See Maintenance below).
12) Provide you with a list of fee-based promotional tools (if this interests you)
13) Offer consultation and training where necessary

All-Inclusive Packages (these include all of the services on the above list)
The charge for us to conceive (with client consultation) the setup and basic site layout, with a proposed graphic and structural design, is $500.00. This includes an actual proposed design of the home page and a representative mock-up of how various interior pages would look. After this, there is basically a simple charge of $100.00 per page, with a five-page minimum:

For example, for sites up to:

05- Pages the cost would be: $500.00 + $500.00 = $1000.00
10- Pages the cost would be: $500.00 + $1000.00 = $1500.00
25- Pages the cost would be: $500.00 + $2500.00 = $3000.00
50- Pages the cost would be: $500.00 + $5000.00 = $5500.00

Additional pages are charged at the rate of $100.00 per page.

Simple Packages
If you already have a domain name, and do not need web hosting, shopping-cart capabilities, online payment processing, and/or other elements that are included in our All-Inclusive packages, we offer the following Simple Packages that do not include these services:

The charge for us to conceive (with client consultation) the setup and basic site layout of a simple site without the elements mentioned above is $300.00. This includes a proposed mock-up design of the home page and consultation on interior-page layout and design. After this, there is basically a simple charge of $100.00 per page, with a five-page minimum:

Additional pages are charged at the rate of $100.00 per page.

TERMS:
½ of total package cost in advance; balance to be paid upon completion of the basic website.

Maintenance
Site maintenance is always necessary to assure that a website remains in working order and is periodically updated with new information, products, price changes, discontinuations, etc. In some cases, where the content must change daily or even hourly (newspapers, for example), an internal IT person or staff is required. For others, where the information may change weekly or monthly, we can offer our services to maintain and update the site for an additional fee. In general, for sites in the latter category, basic maintenance is included in the package price for a period of 90 days following initial payment, after which an ongoing maintenance agreement can be negotiated based on the amount of work involved.
