Web Site Proposal

As an information utility, a website is principally designed to anticipate and answer questions its intended users might have. The proposed website for Middle Creek is no different. Here are some possible questions which the site may answer.

· Where can I find filters for my Air conditioner? It's a very odd size.
· How do I change those light bulbs in my 16 foot ceiling?
· Where is the polling place for this precinct?
· What can I do about those squeaky sliding doors?
· How far is the nearest hospital? Fire station?
· What does the association insurance policy cover?
· Can I put up a small satellite dish?
· I'm having 10 guests to my house for a meeting. Where can they park?
· What post office serves this area?
· What kind of churches are nearby? Community centers?
· Where do I go to change my drivers license?
· I accidentally broke a tile. Where can I find a replacement?
· I have to leave the country, and want to lease my home. How to do it?
· How can I dispose of my old refrigerator and other large furniture?
· Will the association make a first offer on my unit, if I sell?
· How do I change the bulb in that big globe light outside my front porch?
· A giant St Bernard was licking my bedroom window last night. What to do?
· My front door hinge is broken. Is that covered by the association?
· The chlorine in the swimming pool hurts my eyes. Who do I see?
· My neighbor's barbeque smoke wafts over into my house. What rights do I have?

These, and a thousand and one other questions and their answers, both practical and superficial, become the database of an ongoing and ever-growing FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page. This site will be accompanied by a search engine utility which will enable the owner/viewer to get at least the beginning of an idea of what to do to solve a particular problem. This search function will index every word on the site and provide readers with an index of the occurrence of any reference in any part of the site. Because our community consists of units which share many identical interior and exterior appointments, the questions which have been and will be asked will have application to most of the other owners. The increasing ubiquity of web browsers as an appliance, means that the majority of our members will be able to participate in this process.
The help of Condominium Associates, this board, and the owners themselves will be necessary to initiate this service. As we proceed into the future, we simply add to this data base as additional questions are answered, and information is acquired. Jim Peterson For Metrodirect Communications 8-10-00
