Pets are Residents, Too

MiddleCreek recognizes every property owner's right to have pets. However, pet owners have the obligation to ensure that their pet is as unobtrusive to others as is possible. After all, not everyone loves your pet as much as you do. Therefore, if you are a pet owner, please curb your pet. Animals found outside, but not on a leash will be picked up by Pinellas Animal Control Dept.
Pet waste is unattractive, malodorous, harmful to the grass and plants, unpleasant to step in, and a potential health hazard; use of a scooper is mandatrory. All pets should be kept off the lawn, garden areas, and common spaces. These rules are in place to keep our community clean, safe and attractive-an upshot upon which everyone (both pet owners and non-pet owners) can agree.

Community Improvements

The board of directors is anxious to hear about your ideas on how we can make our community serve you better. We are looking for ways to improve both the physical and social enviroment. As we face the necessity of replacing roofs and other large capitol expenditures, we appreciate any insight you might like to share on how to accomplish these tasks with the least pressure on the budgets of you, the members.

Through this website we would like to be able to share some of the accumlated wisdom, experience, and insight of members who have dealt with some of the problems and peculiarities of these condo units.
Tell us what you have learned, and how you have solved some of the problems that face all of us as homeowners.

Security & Safety

All of us have concerns about theft and burglary of our homes and autos. In fact, recently there was a burglary of one unit when the unit was vacant and undergoing renovation. The best we can do is speculate: Was it the construction team?, a fellow resident?, an outsider? Please be cognizant of safety. Keep your doors locked at all times. With regard to internal renovations, please use reputable contractors. Make surprise visits to your home during construction. Make it a point to ask the contractor if their company has had trouble with theft in the past. Insist on references from the contractor. Ask your neighbors about their experiences with contractors. It is unfortunate that we must be so careful. But the alternative is to invite criminals and thieves to victimize us.

The MiddleCreek Paparazzi

Your photos might be funny, melancholy, scandalous, happy, scary, mysterious, profound, or completely indescribable. Indoors or outside, with people or without people, it doesn't matter. Break out your Le Clic-we need your pictures. Any pictures. Why, I will even showcase photos of your lovely, newly renovated bathroom. I know no one in this village is shy! Extra! Extra! Read all about it.

Should we have a newsletter?
Residents, we need your help! The question is: should we have a newsletter? Would anyone like to be an editor for such a project?
The Association newsletter can be a vital link in the network of communications within an Association. It should be prepared and published on a regular basis by a newsletter Committee. Newsletter content may be supplied by the Board of Directors, Committees, the Management Agent, or by other contributors. The newsletter should report decisions, made by the Board or by Committees, that affect the membership. Residents can be kept abreast of changes to the commons, and any social functions and other functions that are scheduled. The newsletter may be fully funded by the Association, or it may support itself in full or in part by selling advertising space.

The newsletter should bring the association together. It should not be a vehicle for debating issues, creating divisiveness, or provoking controversies that are negative in nature. The newsletter can be a source of valuable information for all unit owners, and serve as a Sunshine Committee by acknowledging all types of noteworthy occasions. Obviously, anyone with experience as a journalist would be ideally suited to serve on this Committee.

This website should serve as a primary source of information about the community, including current events, contact information, rules and regulations, and the basic workings of the community management.
